The Point Pleasant Beach Inlet

Out for a drive,
we ended up at the Point Pleasant Beach Inlet around 6 pm...
and it just so happens,
six o'clock must be the magic hour as we got to see all of the fishing boats heading out.

As they round the bend from the docks,
the outriggers go down and the view is expansive as they head past the jetty and out to sea.
These commercial boats will be out fishing for days.

Market Price was heading in...

and the locks are still hanging here on the new PPB sign/fence.

We drove through the restaurant district of Point Pleasant Beach,
all serving the fresh catch of the day.
I thought this red truck was pretty cool, I have not seen it there before!
We have eaten at Point Lobster in the past, their seafood is fresh and delicious!

    1. the food is awesome here but we had already eaten at home. with only outdoor dining allowed in new jersey, these restaurants are packed with very long wait times. it was around 6:30 pm, the wait could have been as much as 2 hours!

  11. Great boats, they are truly interesting to me, and someday it'd be nice to live around a harbor, a dreamy place to me!

  13. Howdy there Debbie, I love to go watch the boats come and go too! My favorites are the big old shrimp trawlers with their big ole 'ARMS' or whatever they're called, LOL. We have a creek here where the boats come and go, I've posted from there before. The creek is full of dolphins especially at certain times of the day, and they will swim and splash all around you if you are on those paddle board things or kayaking. Do y'all have dolphins there? How bout sharks, do y'all see many of those?---we do....yikes! LOL That's why I freak out when I see people letting their dogs swim in those waters, a dog wouldn't have a chance. The little lemonade kids were cute too!

  16. Debbie - nothing like being in the right place at the right time! I am pretty choosy about my fish - don't like anything too smelly, so I have always held fishermen/women in high regard - not a job I could do!
