Sitting on the deck Sunday evening,
I realize some elements of the best part of the day are right in front of me.
The grill which cooked the food that nourished my hungry soul.
The beach towel I used to dry off after an awesome first swim in the pool.
My five knockout rose bushes that I had enough energy to trim, they are looking so pretty.
I am in my happy place!

The pool was so refreshing, today was our first swim!
This corn was really good, we are not at awesome yet,
when it is Jersey corn it will be awesome!
Before the sun set, the skies looked like this, they were so blue and so amazing!
Now it's dark, it's late and I am feeling sleepy...
I don't really want to go in the house as I don't want this day to end.

But, a raccoon just scooted across the deck in front of me, signaling it must be time to go inside!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful outdoor space! And I'm so glad you got to enjoy your pool. It gives you that 'good tired' at the end of the day to spend time outside and get some exercise. We had a rainy weekend but the sun is out now, so I won't complain! Take care and enjoy your day!

ReplyDeleteI didn't have a good weekend, I had my vertigo come back again, if I stayed in a certain position I was ok, so I couldn't do much, thankfully I am much better today!!
