Saturday Critters ~ 327 ~

Wednesday's ride in the car to Lake of the Lilies,
revealed that most of our "over winter" ducks have left!

I only saw one Killdeer.
Which I find unusual, in the past, I have always seen them in small groups of 2 or 3.

A "walk in the park", notice the cute curled leg, it was walking not standing!

There were a few cute Mallards nearby in the water.

Then there is always that one who's been "fooling around" and cannot be identified...
We'll call this one "the one"!

  5. Love all the pretty pictures! Especially the "green headed ducks"...ha ha ha LOL! they are so pretty, my favorites. Well, I like swans too, and many others. Love that shot of the mallard with water dripping down.....very pretty. Getting outside sure helps for sure. Our walking is becoming very restricted....way too many folks out, desperate to get outside and increasing the numbers, in the city. Our state parks and county parks have closed.....they are closing our beaches.....dang!! We will still take drives as we have been doing. It's good to get out even for a short or long drive. Take care of yourself!! (ps...liked reading about the bread making too...it sure looked delicious!)

  7. Brilliant photos of the wader and the Mallard Debbie. They are in their best finery nowadays for breeding.

  8. Hello. Wonderful photos. The killdeer is beautiful.
In the last photo is common mallard. It has been given a wrong nutrition (humans food: bread etc.), when it was young. It’s White feathers break easily.
