The sun has been scarce these days,
when it is out,
I try to spend a few minutes taking pictures of the birds.
I am lucky to see a great variety at the backyard feeding station the hubs arranged for them...
or did he set it up for me?
It was for me, of course...but the birds enjoy it as much as I do.
The feeders have been very busy,
I always try to photograph the birds when they are in "holding",
in the tree, waiting for their turn.
Black capped Chickadee
Male House Finch
Female House Finch
Yellow Rumped-Warbler
American Goldfinch

ReplyDeleteWow! You have so many different birds than I do and we don’t live that far apart. Mine are all the everyday ones.
ReplyDeletehi ruth...this is just a very small view at the birds that visit. one day, i will do a species count. it's funny, i rarely see the common sparrows!!

What pretty photos with the evergreen in the background. We are seeing more Goldfinches now and a few are showing some yellow. I love watching the feeders! You just never know what will stop by for a snack! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou must have incredibly clean windows since your photos are so sharp and detailed. A wonderful assortment of fine bird portraits!
ReplyDeletei take all of my pictures through "open" windows. i am lucky that the cold does not bother me and my husband never complains about anything. it does get a tad bit cold in the home office we share but spring and summer will be here soon!!
Deleteand my windows, the feeders are attached to the windows. you can only imagine how dirty they are!!!
Beautiful images. I have to say the Chickadee is my all time favourite .
ReplyDeleteIt has been far and few between around here for days, until just recently. It's almost as if all those dark grey days didn't happen for about the entire month of January into February. Almost. Your birds are just incredible and are their favorite perches!
ReplyDeleteThese are exceptional photos of these precious birds.I loved the different colors and especially love how you can get such great photos. I do think they have their own little personalities.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs!
