Last Thursday when I visited
Lake Of The Lilies
the Mute Swans were back...lots of them.
They were playful with each other and also preening themselves, a lot.
The Mute Swan is a common, very large, unmistakable waterbird.
Sexes are similar.
Here in New Jersey, we see these swans year round.
This one had a broken wing...
What a day, as you may suspect, I had to start a new memory card for the camera,
it was that good!

What a spectacular sight are your swans in all their gorgeousness. Swans gliding by in the water is always a most elegant sight!
