A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam,
and for a brief moment, it's glory and beauty belong to our world...but then it flies again,
and though we wished it could have stayed, we feel lucky to have seen it.
Black Swallowtail
Number three, emerged and released on July 24, 2019.
ps added at 12 noon...two more butterflies emerged today and I just released them.
They did not want to pose for pictures, so you will have to take my word for it.
We came indoors and another emerged, we are waiting for it's wings to dry.
What an exciting day!
Que maravilha, bela borboleta, aproveito para desejar a continuação de uma boa semana.

We expect one of ours to hatch any day now, maybe even today. We will be out for most of the day but I would not be surprised to come home and find it fluttering in the cage waiting ti be set free.

Such pretty butterfly pictures, Debbie! I also loved the previous post and the cowls you were/are working on. I can't decide if i like the gray or the green best, probably the green! You sure are good at making those. I saw where my Birds and Blooms magazine has a photography contest......you might want to enter some of your amazing pictures, yours are BETTER than previous year's winners in my opinion!!

ReplyDeletethat is so funny that you are sharing a butterfly shot ... was thinking about u today. any who .. i keep finding wings every where, i am curious why? is it too warm for them or is a animal, bug going after those butterflies? i wonder??! poor things. we had such an odd weather recently. it was so hot and humid. several days of rain and now we are kind of in the high 70s but not so humid. so weird yet again this year??! hope u r well. have a great happy weekend.
