Yesterday was
"World Wide Knit In Public Day"
and I thought "now I have heard everything, but I like it"...
I wonder if there is a Hallmark Card for that?
hehehehe
No matter,
I received a kind invite from Leanne and some of my favorite knitters gathered on the farm,
to knit and chat...mostly to chat.
This is Dee, she and her husband Don own the farm,
The alpaca recently got their "haircut",
they always look so different after shearing day!
I adore the group of girls I knit with, they are always so kind and supportive.
Leanne has taught me so much, not just about knitting, but about life.
She has taught me to "always keep going, even if you have made a mistake...
not to sweat the small stuff and to always laugh, no matter what"
And if you find a great burger joint,
adjust future trips accordingly!
I think it sounds like a perfect way to spend any day. I love it when you get to knit with the girls and the alpacas. I love when they get their haircuts.
ReplyDeleteand one of the alpaca just had a baby girl, i saw a video on Facebook...it is all so exciting. i love this place, it feels like home!!

World-wide knit in public day? I am thinking the same thing - I think I've heard everything, but like it all the same. I like the idea of having a group of women to chat and knit with, and the alpaca are so adorable. Burger joints - yes! definitely worth adjusting plans for.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to get together like that.
ReplyDeleteThe alpaca are just so cute.
All the best Jan

The alpaca are lovely. They almost look like puppets!
ReplyDeleteHello, pretty photo of your knitting friends. I love the cute alpacas, they are adorable. Happy Monday and have a great new week.
ReplyDeleteIs that a stuffed animal alpaca??? OHHHHH!!!!! Sweet.
ReplyDeleteYou make knitting sound like a subversive act. Hehehhehe...
And....real alpacas! I love them. I want my neighbor to get some so I can see them and feed them apples over the fence, but don't have to shovel poop.
I can't think of a better way to celebrate Knit in Public Day than getting together with your friends and enjoy a chat and a little knitting. Love the woolly picture that Dee is creating. Such a lovely farm; all those alpacas are so very sweet.
ReplyDeleteAhhh what a special time. I love the alpaca's sheared, they look so soft.
ReplyDeleteGreat visit again for you, I know this is just what makes your heart happy as can be! Love the pictures.

someday...I will visit there.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you have a great group of women to not only craft with but to share life with, such a great blessing in life!
