Cleaning Out The Garage...

I did not take a picture before...
from a distance
there would not have been much of a difference in the after.
This project was primarily about applying epoxy to the garage floor.
We keep both vehicles in the garage,
so it is always pretty open and clean, except for the floor itself.

The first step...
everything came out of the garage or went on top of the work bench.

Note to self, we have enough Home Depot buckets.

We have applied epoxy in the past, it was pealing,
so the hubs sanded down those spots and patched them.

After that, we applied the epoxy with brushes up against the entire perimeter.
I helped with that but not too much, and the hubs had to fix my "hick-ups" on the white door.
Then the epoxy gets rolled on with that big roller...
my job, which I chose to accept, was to put the sprinkles over the wet epoxy.

These sprinkles, so the floor does not have a flat finish,
doesn't it look great!!

Here it is all done, the white door leads to the back yard,
the brown door in to the house.

There were a lot more steps than I mentioned and this was a lot of work for the hubs.
It is a Spring project we do every couple of years...
and this was the year it needed to be done!
We are hoping it will not peel again - time will tell!

  7. Great job, Debbie. It looks so neat and clean. You do not want to see the inside of our garage; not even a little corner. :)

  11. Wow - it really does look great! And those sprinkles! I can only imagine that I would have very uneven sprinkles - clumps here and there.

    1. here's the secret!! you take a handful of sprinkles and throw them up in the air - they land, perfectly scattered!!!

  14. These tough jobs get harder and harder to do the older we get doesn't it. I have been having a harder time weeding by hand anymore, told hubby we may have to start reducing those area's. The garage looks great and I do love the sprinkles :)

  15. Don't have a garage but would love to have one and I would love the floors like this. I think this is such a cool and neat additive to the old floors. I can't see my garage being that clean though, I think everything that needed a home that did not have one would find it there...in the garage! Great job by the way.
