Saturday Critters ~ 230 ~

I think the expression we all know and love about bunny rabbits must be true.
My yard is filled with them frolicking about.
They are just too cute with their sweet little expressions,
and their white fluffy tails.
They don't seem to mind having their picture taken,
I spent about 20 minutes talking to and photographing this one.
It seems to have the beginnings of a third ear or some type of growth between it's ears.

The sun was starting to set and I took this last picture which ended up being my favorite.

They eat the pretty green weeds that are growing in my grass, how nice of them.
I have put out lettuce...but no one seemed very interested.

  1. They are nothing if not prolific. I don’t mind when they nibble emerging shoots in the garden - my wife not so much!

  2. Wow....great shots. Used to see bunnies around here when I first moved here 26 yrs ago but have not seen any in a long time. But guessing the groundhog moved in instead. Great shooting...keep it up.

  9. Wonderful!
They do not care for lettuce, neither in our garden. But here in Finland we leave oats seeds out for them and it seems that they like them... at least in winter, when they cannot find anything else.
    Have a sunny Sunday!

  10. What a cute little bunny!! I have never ever seen anything like that extra ear-- so strange! We took our granddaughter to see the new peter rabbit movie back in april and the bunnies talked and LOOKED SO REAL-- loved it!!

  12. They are very cute, we have a few little babies that have ran when I was clearing weeds here. The bigger ones aren't as afraid of me as the babies tend to be. Love how he posed so you could get him at different angles. That is too funny that they didn't eat the lettuce, probably because you weren't trying to grow it, I am hoping they stay away from my Romaine I planted.

  18. Precious! We used to have bunnies as pets when I was younger, and I was always mesmerized with the twitching noses, and the way grasses would just disappear between the soft lips … thanks for this walk down memory lane!

  19. I really loved these fun photos of the Rabbit. You got some great close ups. That does look like maybe a 3rd ear. Awesome that he just eats lawn weeds. When we lived in Spokane the rabbits would eat our flowers which made us nuts.
I love how you enjoy photographing animals. You do such a magnificent job in that.
    Loving thoughts and hugs!

  20. That last photo is adorable. I too am surprised that 'your' bunnies do not eat the flowers. How very accommodating of them to just eat the weeds.
