I don't see Mocking Birds during the Winter in my yard.
When I do see them during other seasons, I only see one or two, never a large group.
Tuesday, I saw the first one here in the yard,
and I had forgotten how easy they are to photograph.
We don't get mocking birds here. They have long tails for that size body. Pretty bird!
ReplyDeleteYes, a very cooperative subject.
ReplyDeleteHello, Debbie. Awesome series on the Mockingbird. I think we have a resident pair in my neighborhood. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures....
ReplyDeleteLove the expressions on the Mockingbird and wonderful photography ~ thanks,

Beautiful! I've only ever seen a mockingbird in person once, when I was on vacation. They look a lot like the catbirds we have here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Debbie! I am not sure if I have mockingbirds in the winter or not cause I stay in and don't go looking! haha....
ReplyDeleteOh W>O>W! Absolutely fantastic shots of the mockingbird, Debbie!

I've never heard a mockingbird, but always wanted to! Such a pretty bird....so alert, looking all around with those amazing yellow eyes! Great shots! xx Karen
ReplyDeleteLovely series of photographs - I think my favourite is the fourth one.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
My husby and I just had a conversation about the Mockingbird this morning and you certainly got some beautiful shares of this chap~
ReplyDeleteDebbie, these are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the second one.
It reminds me a bit of the classic "angry bird" photo.
xo.
Wow! These are fantastic! Gorgeous details! I bow to the master! :-)
ReplyDeleteWell goodnight, Debbie! Your photos are amazing! That last one looks like you are right on the beautiful bird. You never cease to amaze me, my friend. Thanks for sharing! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteVery co-operative Mockingbird! Love the eyes!
ReplyDeleteWell, not easy for me. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteApparently, Mocking Birds don't come to visit Michigan. I have never seen nor heard one.
ReplyDeleteReally great shots of the mocking bird, and looks as if he doesn't mind being photographed at all! We do have those here in Texas also and love hearing them
ReplyDeleteLooks like both you and the bird were enjoying this photo session. You captured wonderful images of him/her.
ReplyDeleteOh, these photos are magnificent. This little bird is a beauty. I love the colors; looks regal. Blessings and hugs!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is Texas's state bird. I love 'em.
ReplyDeleteAnd your photos are so professional looking!! I love the 3rd one from the top.
Thanks for sharing and linking in today at I'd Rather B Birdin'.
Oh yeah, he's posing for you and wondering what the heck you're doing! Lovely pictures. We get waked up by them this time of year -- and I love it!
