Longwood Gardens - Part IIII

Longwood Gardens
has an area devoted to Bonsai Trees
Not as colorful as the other areas of Longwood Gardens but very beautiful just the same.

The training on some of their older plants began in the early 1900's.
If you are interested in the history of the trees, you can read about it here.

  8. These are gorgeous trees! Like you said, not everything has to be colorful to be beautiful. Plain and unadorned can be the prettiest thing in the world.

  10. Love the trees. They have always caught my attention. Takes years for them to be trained that way. Nice.

  11. I have always wanted a bonsai collection but don't have room. The orchids take up too much space. Xoxo Andrea @ This Knitted Life

  13. Juan touched a bonsai tree once in a garden! He got an hour long lecture on bonsai trees from the arborist. They are such amazing pieces of arts ( that you don't touch ) and the photos you took bring me right back to that memory :]
