The Cherry Blossom Festival

We are off to Washington, D.C. for the blooming of the Cherry Blossoms.
Nothing signifies the arrival of Spring quite like the 
Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C.
The Cherry Blossom trees signify the friendship between the US and Japan,
who gifted many of the trees to the United States.
 Rumor has it that only about half will bloom, the weather has not been kind to them,
but we enjoy the trip each year and have decided to go anyway.



Prime viewing is suppose to be Saturday, it will be 75 degrees in Washington on Saturday,
and that sounds just perfect to me!!

    Have fun, Debbie! The trees with their blossoms always provide a mesmerizing look and feel to the area! And with the parade and activities going on, you won't be disappointed. I grew up in DC and loved this time of the year.

    I heard that there may be a possibility that they would not be as good this year because of the weather, I know the ones around here really looked quite sad after we had that cold spell.... I am sure either way you two will enjoy a great weekend together :)

    Thanks for the beautiful photos from last year. WE got hit by warm weather too soon then a massive wind came through and
    that was the end of the blossoms.
