Yarn Along

I have loved this Outlander Cowl by Andee from the very first day I saw it.

It doesn't hurt that the model is gorgeous, or that the cowl is pictured in purple.

I had made two attempts at knitting this beauty -

when I started the third, I hoped it would be the charm, but it wasn't.

This is my fourth attempt at knitting this gorgeous cowl...and it's what is currently on my needles.

Here are my three prior attempts, 

two of which I found while cleaning out my yarn basket a few weeks ago.

I wanted another go at it, 

I was sure I had enough experience now to complete it with confidence.

My third attempt is the smallest of the three, I didn't get far.

I started the fourth and here you can see that I have made another mistake.

Not reading the pattern correctly, but by the time I noticed it,

I was so far along, I have decided to continue and view it as a unique detail in the pattern.

I don't think this will be noticeable and I am knitting it for myself.

I have in the past given up at all different stages,.

On my first attempt, I made it to the lace and got all messed up.

On the second one, I got about half way and I could see the pattern was way off.

At that time, I did not really know how to rip things out,

so I laid it in my knitting basket and forgot about it.

I am pressing on now because I just can't give up again.

This is a beautiful pattern and a gorgeous yarn.
Berroco Vintage, a blend of Acrylic, Wool and Nylon.

I am hopeful - fingers crossed!!
