Saturday Critters ~ 166 ~

- Valentine's Day was special - 
especially the drive home because we drove past this beautiful...

Bambi
The hubs is an expert at the quick stop, pull over,
I am an expert at finding the camera and changing the lens,
because as you know, you never have on the right lens to capture the moment you are in.

I spoke softly and asked her to stay...

she did for a while but then scampered off.

She had friends waiting for her - aren't they beautiful.
When I see them I am reminded of real nature, 
that they survive on their own not caged or cared for by humans.
It is one of the only wild animals I see in this area,
and they always bring me so much joy!!

    We have deer in our back yard and in the yard next door almost every day in the wintertime but I can NEVER get good pictures of them. I don't know what it is, but their beauty is hard to capture--and you did it perfectly! If anyone saw my pictures next to yours they'd easily see the difference between an untalented and a talented photographer!

    How fantastic that you had time to stop and take some wonderful images of the wild deer before they trotted off. I love to see them running free but not so keen when they run out in front of the car!

    We have so many deer around here that they trample and eat the farmer's corn crop and cause quite a bit of destruction. I guess that's why now, they allow hunter's to take 2 deer a year and want mostly the does taken to stop the baby boom.

    They are so beautiful, so neat that you were able to see all her friends too! When we lived in New Jersey there were always a bunch of them that hung out on Ft. Dix that we would see, especially in the evening times.

    I have loved seeing and watching deer through the years. I think they are beautiful animals. We live in a very big suburb area and this year two dear ran right past our mailbox one day. We have never seen them this for down into the city areas; interesting. Of course, there was no way to get a picture; they were on the run. Hugs~
