Saturday Critters ~ 157 ~

On a recent visit to my favorite birding spot,
Lake of the Lilies

I was so surprised to see a Great Blue Heron still hanging around.

Preening...

and really blending in with the background! 
In fact the hubs spotted this one before I did, he was a tad excited.

I wonder if it plans on staying for the winter?

  6. It is amazing how much everything blends into the background these days, your teaching that man of yours to spot those birds good!! Greg says that is why he likes me along I see things he would have missed :) Enjoy your weekend!
