The pantry in the kitchen was looking a little rough...
I am a proclaimed organizing junkie,
which is much different than being obsessed with clean.
I like clean, but being organized is more my thing!
Whenever I start a project, everything comes out...everything.
When I do the pantry, I do it shelf by shelf because everything is basically where it belongs.
I purchased these colorful bins at the dollar store.
One of each color, they are perfect for keeping like items together.
It wasn't long before the pantry looked like this.

Not too much different, it is neater, cleaner and much more efficient now.

The shelves don't pull out so I love the lazy susan, top shelf, in the front.
I used chalkboard labels on the bins...
and I re-used some of the bins that I already had.
The purple ones are cute, but their oval shape makes them a space waster.
I have always had art on the inside of the doors,
I enjoy seeing something pretty when I open them up.
Nice idea, decorating the doors with pretty pictures. I just cleaned out my pantry a couple of weeks ago. Found some almond extract from 2009. I figured I should probably toss that.

ReplyDeleteI did mine earlier this week. Mine looks very much like yours, except my shelves do slide out. I pull everything out, re-sort, get rid of a lot of "stuff," and then put everything back. I do this at least twice a year, and every year at this time, as it's time to start thinking about holiday baking! :-)

.. fabulous pantry Debbie... I love my kitchen cupboards and drawers organised.. Hubby forgets where he gets things from so putting things in order is an ongoing W.I.P for me......

ReplyDeleteGreat idea about the art! I am not that organized by nature but had to buy bins with tops in order to keep mice out. A single mouse will ruin a lot of food by taking just a bite or two out of each package!

ReplyDeleteThose worked nicely in your pantry, that is nice you can write on there what is inside for quick looking. Beautiful pics to see when you open the cupboard, I keep lists inside mine, when filters have been changed ect. I am not very well organized, my sister was blessed with that :)
