Saturday Critters ~ 140 ~

I think New Jersey gets a bad rap...
I know I have shared that thought in the past, but I think people forget that we are
 "The Garden State".
We have farms, beaches and the best shorelines in the country.
And let's face it folks, we don't have to pump our own gas!
I live in Central New Jersey,
10 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the country.
On Thursday we took a ride through the back roads,
farm country, and I always pick one farm to stop and take pictures.
At this farm, the horses were beautiful.

I loved this "cheek to cheek" image...
and in this picture, you can see the beautiful blue eyes the painted horse has.

  1. Hello Debbie!:) Fabulous images of these beautiful creatures. The closeups of the brown horse looking over the fence are great. I have never before seen a horse with blue eyes, how extraordinary!

  7. Incredibly beautiful animals. It is true, we often get caught up in the rap of NJ and Real Housewives drama and forget the garden beauty of the state. Lovely reminder.

  9. First, what a beautiful face, that is one dear sweet horse! Now for a bad rap, not in my mind, you sure have shown me such a lovely area, and before I knew you through here, I thought it was special, but you have really brought that thought to an even higher level! Bravo Debbie!

  13. I was born in NJ, near Greenwood Lake, so I know just how beautiful it truly is! Several of my cousins still live in the area. Funny you should mention about the gas. We're going to be driving through soon and I wondered if that was still the case. Gorgeous shots of the horses, Debbie! Have a wonder-filled week!

  18. Absolutely gorgeous animals! Really adored your photos! I know what you mean about places getting bad raps. I haven't seen much of New Jersey but I see how beautiful it is from your photos. We are moving to Oregon, and they don't let you pump your own gas there, either. :-)

  21. It was funny when we got stationed there we thought oh man New Jersey but we really liked it there and like you said there is a lot of beauty... These horses are just beautiful, love the different coloring.
You know it felt weird to me to have my gas pumped for me, probably because I grew up doing it myself.
