I found this unusual fence in the Mystic area of Connecticut
Although it looks like a chain, the chain links are constructed of wood.
"Wood Chain Fence"
"Designed Built and Erected by Albert Bonamo, Age 73"
1954
A look back,
I wondered about how long it took to construct this wood fence.
I wish that information had been included with the information on the sign.

Wooden links... how interesting. They will never rust.
ReplyDeleteReally different and a great chain link fence made from wood! That must have taken years to construct and assemble and it has stood the test of time.

that is SO cool! my sweet uncle, who was a woodsmith, once carved an 8 foot section of chain-link out of one contiguous piece of wood - carving each link already linked in to the next piece, etc. it was amazing!
