Saturday Critters ~ 129 ~

As you may remember, Rosie's back.
Back as in...new nest, same pretty wreath, second brood.

She built a beauty this time on the bottom of the wreath and used a bit more mud than last time.

I checked the nest every day, I saw 2 eggs on Monday and the 3rd appeared on Tuesday.

She spends most of her day here, with brief trips for food and "potty".
She does not seem to be relieving herself in the pretty nest.
Thank goodness, because once the babies come there will be plenty of that!

  1. Oh Rosie...
I have then Jack and Marry in my garden. They are too noisy.
They never believe I shall not hurt their kids.

Just amazing how they do that, isn't it?
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.

  7. It's so funny I just had to add, because the sight of her still lingers in my mind. She's very proud of being a Mom in waiting!

  21. How wonderful that you are able to get good pics of the nest there now, that is interesting I didn't realize that they laid there eggs at different times, thought it was all at once!

  22. They are trained, somehow, to defecate outside the nest. My little rescue robin would go to the edge, turn around and poop on the floor!

  23. I love that you are sharing these photos of the mother bird and eggs. I find it so amazing that she built her nest where she did. I think this would make a really good story. This sweet little mother must trust you to be where she is.
Thanks for this one! Hugs for you~

  24. When you thought the wreath couldn't be any prettier, a sweet robin comes along. She chose beautiful surroundings for her waiting period.
