We've been back to Belmar several times to check on momma swan.
Both momma and poppa were at the waters edge, unfortunately, there are no babies.
There was a whole lot of this going on, they sure do spend a lot of time preening.
Both mom and pop kept a close eye on me as I took pictures and as I left.
I first found momma swan on her nest on April 16th and wrote about it here.
I went back to check on her on May 15th and wrote about it here.
I'm not sure what happened, the last time I was there the babies were in the nest.

Oh, so sad. They are beautiful. Perhaps snapping turtles in the water? I lived on a little pond in New England and the snapping turtles would eat all the little ducklings. The tragedies of life.....Maybe they will try again. xx K
