Today for Good Fences I am sharing an unusual fence the hubs and I passed out in Pennsylvania,
on our way home from Longwood Gardens.
In front of the fence, is a beautiful Red Bud Tree...they were in bloom at the time.
The fence lined the path down to this pretty, old brick building.
It was late in the day, the building was closed so I'm not sure what it was.
There was also a winery on the property, it was also closed.

DeleteHello Debbie!:) This really is an unusual, and complicated way of making a fence, and must have taken a long time to make. It looks great in your first two photos, which I love with the beautiful Red Bud tree.:)
ReplyDeleteLove all your photo's ...
ReplyDeleteGreat fence
Magnificent blooms
Have a happy Thursday
All the best Jan
Hello Debbie, the redbud tree is gorgeous. The fencing is neat, it reminds me of the fences at the battlegrounds in Gettysburg.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday, enjoy your day!
Very pretty blooming Redbud trees and like the fencing. We have a lot of that style here, especially by the Manassas National Battlefield. They are very cleverly put together. A pretty brick building too. I have never seen one built with a second tier of tiling.
ReplyDeleteHello Debbie! I love everything in your photos from the old fencing to the red brick building & of course the beautiful tree in buds & blossom!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun day!
Perfect!

That is certainly a unique fence. It looks like it would have been a lot of work to construct.

ReplyDeleteNeat fence!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh it really IS all about purple. Sooo pretty.
ReplyDeleteThese are such unique old fences; thanks for sharing the lovely photos. The first of the fences reminded me of being at my uncle's farm so many years ago. I loved playing on that farm. I love it when I have a memory come. Thanks for this one! Sending loving thoughts your way dear friend~
ReplyDeleteI love that fence, cool design!! Greg did one similar to that when we lived in upper Michigan, we had a set of woods behind the house and he just pulled all the old fallen trees out and layered them, but they didn't have those centers that is so neat! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat is certainly a unique rail fence. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great looking fence and the Redbud tree is so pretty. Glad you stopped for pictures.
ReplyDeleteAmazing to see the fence and that tree in contrast. Great composition. The fence is very unique looking but looks very complicated to recreate. I am sure it took a lot of time to build correctly. The red bud tree looks amazing in bloom. Thanks for sharing these amazing pictures with us!
