Art At The Pier

I love Pier Village
It's a fairly new beach front community, with apartments, shopping, great restaurants
and so much more.
It's where we went for the kite festival...if you missed that post, you can read all about it here.
They host a lot of movies, concerts and special events year round.
While we were there on Sunday,
I noticed all these cool star fish hanging up in the shopping area.
The sign explains "The Challenge", they were all very unique and beautiful.

This one was quite interesting, this star fish was covered in debris collected from area beaches.

They were all the same size but unique in the way the were decorated.
I didn't love Superman but all the rest were beautiful.
These will all be auctioned off, later this Spring, raising money for selected charities.

  7. I agree with your review -- all beautiful except Superman. But the second one from the top would look best on my wall, if you want to put in a bid for me! (And you know, go ahead and pay for it and everything too LOL)

  15. These are great! Interesting to see each artist's style. I like the painted flowers. The one covered in debris says a lot about us.

  17. Those were so fun to see. I agree Superman was a bit odd but the others were wonderful. I think my favorite was the one with the roses on it.
