I did not finish all my Christmas knitting before Christmas,
I have lofty goals.
I finished my pretty purple Donnie's Hat
after Christmas.
It is done, mailed and received.
I put a pom-pom on it, I think this is the best pom-pom I have ever made.
I googled "how to make a pom-pom" and found a site that used a fork.
I wish I had taken pictures, I used a meat fork as I wanted it a little larger,
it was so easy and I think it looks great!!
I made my usual tags for it,
I always cut up the yarn tag and include that as well.
And you will never believe what I have moved on to...
another Donnie's Hat, in blue.
And I want to start reading again,
fingers crossed that my memory will kick in.
I ordered this book with my Paperwhites at Amazon.com.
If I can't read it, at least it will look pretty
sitting on the shelf!
Both colours are pretty. The pom-pom is beautifully made.
ReplyDeleteLove the pompon!
ReplyDeleteI have given up on attempting to read..... It takes too much time away from knitting.
But I have figured out how to listen to books on audible. That counts, right?!
Kilroy here...just saying hi
ReplyDeleteThat totally reminds me...I meant to do a Pom Pom for the toddler hat I just finished...but I was so relieved to finished the dang thing that I totally forgot! Good thing I have extra yarn! Xoxo Andrea @ This Knitted Life
ReplyDeleteDebbie, you are very creative. I admire your work and that beautiful pompom!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
The hat came out beautiful...nice job:) Ever tried audio books while you knit? Works like a charm and you can download them free from your local library and once they are downloaded they will not expire until you delete them.
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing! Love the hat with the pompom, so very pretty and cute.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll enjoy reading also; don't know what I'd do without books. :)

ReplyDeleteYour knitting always makes me want to go out and buy a hat even though I know full well I won't wear it because my head gets to hot. Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I wear a toque about 6 months of the year, so getting the right one is important. Got a fluorescent orange to wear during hunting season this year.
