Perhaps if you live on Mars, you may not know that the Jersey Shore
is preparing for snow.
We have gotten snow before...I'm not sure what all the fuss is about...
but the ole' tele is consumed with weather reports and updates.
The updates come about once per minute and actually run right into each other.
My Facebook feed is a sea of predictions...
my favorites are the wine estimations, we are in the
"must have 12 bottles on hand" category.
On a scale of 1 - 10, we have moved to a 7, which means buying milk and bread is a must.
If you drive the shore roads right now,
you will not pass a truck that does not have a plow attached.
I have prepared also...
with fresh flowers in the house, of course...
aren't they beautiful??
But yes I have prepared, with our favorite foods in the frig,
and my favorite flowers in my direct line of sight.
Most women get the food thing, it's not about running out,
it's about having all the foods that we routinely eat when it snows.

Good morning, Debbie. Your flowers are beautiful. I think the weather reports are a bit much after awhile. They come on much too often with their reports and closings. The snow has not even started yet. I do understand the need for comfort food in the hosue during a snow storm, it is a must. Stay warm and safe. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

DeleteYes! Here is West Virginia, it started about 8:30 this morning. Four hours later, seven inches of snow and it's not letting up. I've got all I need and pray the power stay ON for everyone. Safe wishes for you.

Speaking of wine.....we ran completely out! Louis Dean is diabetic and doesn't really need the extra sugar anyway. Not sure how long it will be before we break down and stock up again! Maybe we will become teetotalers!!! All I really need is water, coffee and iced tea!!!

Yes I've been hearing about it, and my daughter who now lives in Madison, Alabama had only a half day of work and their schools are closed due to icy roads and about an inch of snow! My daughter being the true blue Minnesotan that she grew up as is loving her new home! I hope you all fare well, and that it's not going to be too horrible, or dangerous. Your flowers are the best touch yet! Stay safe.

ReplyDeleteThe winter storm came through here last night. Six inches, which is pretty good for Arkansas. Be careful and stay warm!

In Wisconsin, we're behind that weather system, not in front of it. I do chuckle at our local TV weather. It's call SKYWARN 13, as though all weather is synonymous with impending doom. Stay safe and warm. Enjoy those wonderful flowers.

ReplyDeleteThe snow is supposed to move south of us but we are hearing a LOT about the snow you are going to get. For once the Arctic air we are expereincing is a GOOD thing - keeping that storm from reaching us here in Ontario. I hope you are safe, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteHope you made it through the storm ok, heard about a lot of destruction near the shore, but most of the word hear was focused on Washington and New York. Those flowers are just lovely, always good to bring some spring hope to the situation :)
