Last Wednesday as promised, I started my next up
Christmas present,
a Donnie's Hat.
Easy peasy, I thought it would be done for today's yarn along,
I am close but no cigar or hat should I say.
I am ready to go onto double pointed needles and I cannot
remember how.
I have knitted about 40 hats,
no kidding, really...but it's been a while soooo youtube it is.
I'm sure it will come right back to me.
I want to share an image of last week's finished project, my
400 Yard Scarf
After washing and blocking, all the curling came out
and it looks better than ever.
looks beautiful. i love those little birds. :)
ReplyDeleteohhhhhh...I loved the little sparrows
ReplyDeleteThe scarf came out beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDebbie that scarf is gorgeous and I love your choice of yarn! I'm nearly ready to put the sleeves on a sweater and suddenly I see I've got a weird stitch. I tried to fix it and it's worse than ever. So today I need to beg one of my knitting friends to fix it for me. It's so annoying, for I've made this mistake before but can't see what it was I did wrong. Sigh. Love the hat. I need to make a hat like that. I hate double points, but know they're in my immediate future with those sleeves. Lol Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

ReplyDeleteI'm the same way with Kitchener stitch and provisional cast-on -- I've done both quite a few times, but I always need a refresher before I get started. Your hat and scarf look great, and I love your adorable snowmen!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteI never conquered knitting.
I am a crochet gal myself but I am sure YouTube saved the day...it has saved mine more than once!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteDpn's drive me crazy!!! I don't have enough fingers to keep the yarn from slipping off the ends. I used to have little rubber nubbins to put on the ends of the Dpn's I wasn't working on, but for the life of me, I can't find them!!! Daggnabit!!
