Are You Counting??

"Just let me finish this row"...
If you are a knitter, you understand that.
You say it all the time and your family gets it.

Another question is, "are you counting".
My husband knows that no response from me = "yes, I'm counting".
I'm not always counting when I don't respond,
but don't tell the hubs
* wink *
Sometimes you just need quiet.

I am still working on my Guernsey Wrap...

I am thrilled with the way it looks,

it is now 46 inches long and I am into my 3rd ball of yarn.

I also finished my Feathered Cloche Hat
from my "knits of a feather" book.

It's washed and blocked and the brim does not curl, YaY!!
I decided to keep the feather...
I think it makes the hat prettier and unique.

I am joining Ginny at Small Things

Yarn Along

  1. My dear mum was an avid knitter so I can quite understand 'are you counting'.
I love your wrap, it's coming along well.
Also the feather on your hat does work well.

...one final comment - those blooms look great, delicate shades.

    Have a good Wednesday

    All the best Jan

  5. The hat is adorable and the wrap is gorgeous. I started a project this week and had to Frog it, three different times because I looked up to see what was on TV and messed up the pattern! I hate trying to Rip It back, and put the stitches back on the needle. Sorry--I'll be quiet now so you don't lose your count.

  6. It all looks great. I just LOVE the cloche. I'm thinking about knitting a brioche stitch clove for the winter... but I haven't learned the stitch!

  14. Lovely work! I've always wanted to learn more than the basics of knitting. I think the sound and rhythm of the needles clicking together is so peaceful!
