While we were out and about on Saturday,
when I was stalling the hubs because I did not want to go home...
I spotted these, Hooded Merganser.
It was my first sighting, EVER, and man they are beautiful!
These images are not awesome but this was more about the experience.
I am going to go back and try to get better pictures.
They were extremely skittish,
and they kept flying off.
Good thing for the hubs, he follows chase instructions well!!

ReplyDeleteI've only seen these a couple of times on the Delaware River. My husband seems pretty excited each time he spots them.

ReplyDeleteThose are very beautiful birds, from the colors to the different shapes to the eyes that seem to glow. A picture of an experience is usually better than just a good photo. They capture the moment so much better.

Oh they are a wonderful looking duck. I will check our local park aviary as we have many exotic ducks there to see if we have one.
