On Sunday night after returning home from Washington, D.C.,
the hubs and I were curious about Monday's weather.
We watched our local station,
The Weather Channel...
and I checked the weather app on my phone.
All three agreed, mostly cloudy, high around 40 degrees.
At 8 a.m., much to my delight, it started to snow.
Big, white beautiful flakes fell from the sky...
they coated every single branch on every single tree.
It was a Winter Wonderland
This was the only hydrangea that bloomed this past summer,
and I was waiting for this very moment to photograph it.
Big snowflakes...
white powdery "fluff"...
teeny, tiny pinecones...
and big bold evergreens, make for a gorgeous wintery view!!
I hung out the window, most of the day,
taking pictures of my feathered friends.

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful - we've only had heavy wet icy icky stuff....But I'm sure we'll get our share of the fluffy stuff! I LOVE that photo of the pine cones. I thought that snow had fallen on dried roses at first!!
