Shore Flicks

Last Wednesday, the hubs and I watched the movie Jaws...

here on the beach in Spring Lake, New Jersey.

Shore Flicks presents these summer movies free and
they are always aired during the week,
just for the locals.

It was a beautiful night on the beach,

and the movie "Jaws" did not disappoint.

We have not seen this movie in years, it was fun to see it again...
and watching it on the beach, what an experience!!

  8. Jaws still scares me! There seems to be more shark sightings every year here on the Atlantic coast, so my worries aren't groundless! I love Spring Lake -- such a beautiful town!

  12. That's so great your community offers that! I remember seeing Jaws as a teenager several times, and each time it scared me to death.

  13. What a fun idea having movies on the beach!I'm surprised they chose Jaws...seems like they'd be worried no one would want to go back in the water! :-)

  16. I saw "Jaws" once and will not watch it again. It was good, but gave me nightmares that still come back to me now and then. Crazy, I know. I just know that it's not safe to go back into the water.

  17. Oh my gosh, I can't imagine watching that movie on the beach. To tell you the truth we saw it at a drive-in when it first came out and I haven't been able to watch it since. I got so sick. I still get a little stomach ache just thinking about it. I do know I have probably seen worse things over the years but for some reason this one affected me.
I think I will thanks you for the quick memory.
    Blessings and hugs!

  20. How appropriate! I can remember after my girls read the book, they were terrified to go out in the row boat on an inland lake. I kept telling them that sharks live in salt water, not in lakes, but still--of course it was fun to walk up behind them and start the music--
    Dah Dah!.
    Dah, Dah!.
    Dah, Dah, Dah, Dah,..........
