This entry is more about the experience, then the images.
Perhaps you know what I mean?!
We had just finished riding the Bikes at Allaire Village,
July 5, 2014.
July 5, 2014.
We loaded them up and were riding the back roads to go home.
I spotted this...
Baby Fawn
Very tiny, not more then a few days old.
Momma came out to check on her and they were off in a flash!!
I always see plenty of deer in and around Allaire State Park,
and I still get excited, every. single. time.
Back in May of 2013,
I was this close to a grown and perhaps lazy deer in Allaire...
and in September of 2012, I was able to get this close to a different fawn.
Exciting stuff for me!!

ReplyDeleteAhhh, the Experience. I get it.
We feed them in the winter.
My nephew was visiting, he opened the curtain. A deer picked her head up and they stared at each other face to face, eyeball to eyeball through the window.
I had that same experience. Never tire of deer in the yard.
I have also had three jump on my car, but that's another story!
xxoo, m & jb
How sweet they are. I understand the excitement, and could just kick myself for not always having my camera. :)
ReplyDeleteThe little fawn is so cute. I love seeing deer but never seem to get very close to them.
ReplyDeleteOh, the spotting is just precious!
ReplyDeleteThe little fawn is precious! You were lucky to get that close! Friends of ours got deer all the time in their yard, but they weren't that happy about it!

These are my very, very favorite creatures, Debbie, and like you, I get so excited when I see them. This little one is so precious. I saw a little one with its mom last weekend, and I was just so thrilled.
ReplyDeleteFantastic pictures. So cute.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of the deer. When we lived in Washington we had deer come up in our yard all of the time. I love them. Except my husband was as keen on them since they liked to eat some of our bushes.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures and blessings to you!
Beautiful Debbie! That last photo is just precious!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful deer shots ~ how lovely they would appear you to capture photos ~ thanks, ^_^

One of my favorite moments from the PGA golf tournament last week was one afternoon at the tailend of the competition that day when a fawn raced across the course/fairway followed by its mom and the few people still around started cheering on the fawn to beat the mom. it did!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing sweeter than deer and you got such good photos! Beautiful to see at the end of my tiring day! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have been to Cades Cove in TN time and time again...and we always get excited to see the Deer, they are precious! Thanks for sharing your photos...the baby in the last shot is adorable!
ReplyDeleteWe saw deer and fawns when camping last month at Mineral Wells State Park. The Park Ranger cautioned us to be careful when driving the park roads. A deer would cross and drivers would turn to look and not see the fawn crossing behind the mother and accidently hit it.
ReplyDeleteThe babies are so cute! I am always in awe when I see one.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. Even though I've seen deer many, many times it always makes me smile when I spot them. Loved that you saw a Fawn. They are so cute.
