Saturday, I took a knitting class...at an Alpaca Farm,
this Alpaca Farm...
It was a gorgeous day so we sat outside...
at this lovely table...
with a perfect view of the Alpaca grazing in the field.
Here is "the start of something big"!
Don't you just love that pretty yarn...
this hand stitched tablecloth...
and all these pretty knitting needles.
Today, I learned to knit and pearl.
I have made a few mistakes since arriving home,
but now I think I am getting the hang of it.
I will be going back this Saturday and I can't wait.

ReplyDeleteI used to love knitting, but had to give it up when I lost fine motor skills in my right hand. (You really can't knit with one hand!) Crocheting can be done a little easier w/the one hand, but that, too, fell by the wayside. I hope you enjoy the knit/purl and will be making some beautiful projects! What a glorious setting you had there!

ReplyDeleteI taught myself to knit, and although I',m not really good at it (scarf, fine. sweater, etc., nope!!), I find it very, very relaxing.

ReplyDeleteI used to know how to knit. I mainly do crocheted items. I have tried to make a baby blanket for all my grandchildren through the years and great grandchildren. I have one due in July; so I need to get going on it.

ReplyDeleteYou always find such fun things to do. I could never master knitting even though my Grandma tried to teach me. (Being a "lefty" didn't help). That is a lovely shade of yard and I can't wait to see what you create.
