We have a couple of "feeding stations" in our back yard.
They need lots of maintenance and
that's where the hubs comes in very handy...
On March 20th, things were looking a lil shabby...
I didn't take any before pictures but here's the hubs in action!
Supplies are gathered...
everything gets washed...
including all the windows!
Feeders are re-hung, these two attach right to the glass...
and are filled with the black oil seeds because that's what the birds prefer!
This section is for my little oriole, she still comes every day.
She prefers the jelly over the orange...and Junior does as well (smile)!
I have the dish to the right filled with water,
seems she is always looking for a drink.

He scrubbed and filled the bird bath as well.
In just a few minutes, this area was packed with happy birds.
Many thanks to the hubs for keeping up with this for me.
And on a side note...
these popped up in the garden.

Hi Debbie He is a treasure. I could do with him on my bird feeders. crocuses and duffs. Hope you saw my Sunday Thought last week and today's post for our spring flowers.

Awww, that hubs of yours is a gem. I'm sure the birdies appreciate it! We see crocuses, and some of our tulip leaves are showing! I hope the predicted snow tomorrow won't harm the flowers.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great husband you have! We benefit from his help, because we get to see all those pretty bird photos! I haven't seen any crocuses, but we do have daffodils. And I've seen some forsythia at a neighbor's house.

aww, your sweetie is so kind. what a man of all trades. i bet the birdies love him dearly just like you. the birds love coming to your house ... jellies, oranges & seeds ... what a "food bar & all those courses indeed. gorgeous blooms. our daffodils are up but no blooming so far. we are wondering about the snow coming tomorrow ... i hope they won't hurt the daffys ... we will see??! ( :

What a good hubby!! I have not seen any crocuses, but we have azaleas and other blooms around the house. I need to get one of those suction cup feeders to attached to the window. That's a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThose are some lucky birds in your neck of the woods! We have nothing, and I mean NOTHING, blooming yet. But we do have more snow on the way on Wednesday. Fortunately, I believe it is winter's last gasp here.

ReplyDeleteYou will have a lot of happy birds and great photo subjects thanks to the Hubs great work. Here we are still getting so many grackles and starlings who eat up the seed as fast as it's put out.

ReplyDeleteThe crocuses are gorgeous! Yesterday was about 60, and today in the 50s, but we have no flowers yet. We're still working on getting the snow to melt.
