Saturday Critters ~ 9 ~

Playing With A Tufted Titmouse

On January 29th he wanted a playmate...

I was happy to oblige.
I opened up the window and began to shoot.

He showed off his beautiful profiles...

and was happy to show me his tail feathers...
then flew off.
I took 22 pictures with my 300 mm lens on,
the window was open and these are not cropped.

It just amazes me how close I am getting to my birds this winter.

I am super excited to be joining in with Eileen over at
for Saturday Critters.

Stop by and consider joining in, any critter will do!!

Also sharing with Anni at I'd Rather B Birdin
because I would always rather be birding!

  8. I was so excited -- I heard birds chirping in our yard this morning, and I ran to get the camera. Of course, by that time, the dogs next door also heard the chirps and began a chorus of barking. The birds were gone. Rats! So, I'll content myself with your (as always) gorgeous shots! You should be called Mrs. Audubon, along with Karen at Pixel Posts!

  13. I miss Tufted Titmice...I moved to Colorado so we don't have them. Well there is a Titmouse, but he isn't nearly as cute! I love birds (I am an avid birdwatcher) so I just had to splash around your blog some more to see your bird pictures-which are wonderful!! It is fun to meet other people who enjoy birds. Happy weekend!

  17. Oh what a cutie! We have some titmice ( is that the correct plural?) that come to our window feeder, and unlike most the other birds, they don't always fly away if we're in the room. These are fantastic closeups!

  36. These are wonderful. So clear and what pretty lighting. I'm jealous because I think you had sunshine and we've been missing that here. Also you are able to get shots this close, every time I try the birds fly away.

  37. How nice to be so close to them. I'm afraid I haven't spent enough time hanging out the window and opening the doors. They all fly as soon as they see my movement in the window. These are great shots!
