Ha! I know when the peanut tray is empty around here too - they sit in the tree and shriek and squawk - so I'm pretty sure I need to get in gear and get out there with more peanuts.
Crazy!! Can't believe I can see two peanuts in his beak at the same time! When I first saw that last shot I thought...good thing he takes a break to swallow. But I guess he was just trying to stare you down and get his next course!!

Haha, we just learned in birding class last night how much jays love nuts. They are greedy birds, too! Well, they know where you are and who has the good stuff. :)
Super shots! I leave peanuts for my blue jays, too - but am often surprised to see the chickadees and titmice snatch them up. Better run out for some more peanuts - your pretty blue jay is looking disappointed :-)
So many fun photographs of the peanut-loving jay! We've got a family of 6 on our property that can't get enough of those tasty peanuts. A large handful lasts about 10 minutes. Wonderful series!
