a female deer.
She sees and acknowledges me right away!
She checks to be sure I pose no threat,
and starts to move a little closer.
I whisper softly to her as she enjoys munching on the grass,
after a few minutes, she scampers off to be closer to the herd!
A magical moment on September 1, 2013
Wonderful pictures! I love watching deer. They are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, although Ms. Doe does look a bit on the thin side. Maybe its all the Wisconsin beer and cheese that puff up our deer!!!

ReplyDeleteThat's terrific! She looks like she could use a good meal. Glad she kept eating when she saw you.
ReplyDeleteShe is pretty, nice sighting of the doe and the herd! Wonderful photos, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job in capturing her! Love the way she's in the foreground with the herd behind her. She picks at the grass so delicately--I love watching them eat. I wonder why she's so thin?
ReplyDeleteDo, re, mi, fa, so, la, te---I'll be singing it all night now. :-)
Oh my what big eyes you have Ms. Doe!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing these gentle creatures!
ReplyDeleteSo cool to see the deer. Great catches!
ReplyDeleteA magical moment indeed, Debbie, and how fortunate you were to be able to capture it.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you were able to capture several photos of this pretty little doe. She is a little think though.
ReplyDeleteWow there were quite a number of deer in this little herd. How exciting to see so many at once.
ReplyDeleteLoved your photos.
Oh pretty! Those deer must know you're a gentle soul - I think they'd run from me before I'd get a shot off!
ReplyDeleteWith my camera, that is (whew - of course!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful looking the herd of deers! nice captures...
ReplyDeleteThe deer look so thin this year. I think the winter was hard on them. I had an 8 point buck in the yard this afternoon but no camera handy. He was a handsome fellow though.
