Lookout...

When the hubs and I are out and about,
I am always the passenger in the car and I am always on the lookout.

What am I looking for, you might ask?
Anything I can take a picture of.

My head is spinning all over the place and
I often see things that aren't even there.

Like most of my deer sighting, they usually turn out to be broken trees,
or small boulders, resting at the roadside.

But on November 24, 2012...
I hit the jackpot when I spotted this gorgeous
Red-Tailed Hawk

There was a quick "spin around" involved,
one small leap of the curb,
and one middle-aged, dark haired fool flying out of the car!

but isn't he a beauty??

I'm sure he was on the "lookout" also...
not focused on me at all!

He flew off pretty quickly and I did not get any flight pictures.
Please don't ask!!

  1. Ooooh, he's gorgeous! I am a bit jealous, though ... I can count on one hand the number of times I've been a passenger in a car these past 4 years! Picture taking and driving are not highly appreciated by MY passengers! Snicker

P.S. I notice there are some tiny little hearts on this beautiful hawk!!! Do you see them?

  3. I'll say he's got his eyes on you! And I saw the hearts pretty quickly - little does he know he's not as scary as all that!

  7. Gorgeous shots! For the past 20 plus years, I have been the one driving most of the time. Maybe that's why I never get these great shots.

  11. Debbie, We counted 81 red tail hawks on our drive back from Missouri. I did think of you, but my camera was in the back of the SUV, and Roger doesn't stop or turn around once his GPS is programed for home. It actually became a game. As always you images are wonderful.

Thank you for always leaving such a kind comment over at my place. Hugs! Bonnie
