A "ramshackle" barn...
with very cool "thingy's" parked in front!!
Check out the head light on this baby!!
This old, rusty tractor sits out by the road as well.
Now here's a question for all you farm girls, what's this tractor towin'??
Sharing today with Tricia's Barn Charm

charming barns from around the world.
looks like a scythe or mower. one side slides back and forth so the teeth/edge then cut grass/hay.
ReplyDeleteand i like that headlight. :)
Lovely old pictures...yep TexWisgirl know... hubby used one as a young person... (also I am trying something to see if you can email me now?)
ReplyDeleteOk, the barn is cool, but I LOVE the tractor and whatever that is.
ReplyDeleteI love the tractor and the implements! And I agree with TexWis girl - I think it's a mower of some sort.
ReplyDeleteIt may be ramshackle but it's absolutely delightful in my book!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. Just love the barn and all of that old equipment is such a bonus!
ReplyDeleteGreat barn today! sandie
ReplyDeleteYep, that is a mower...love these photos...
ReplyDeleteI love the rusty old equipment. Just be thankful, hubby doesn't collect it for YOUR front yard. I want to say its a crimper, but that's just a wild guess.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures. I used to read a book by Ralph Moody called Little Britches. In it there is a chapter called, " I break nine toes." I am pretty sure that is what he was on and it was a mower. It was pulled by a team of horses. I think it might be dangerous being pulled by the Old Ford tractor. It amazed me that it is just sitting there and no one bothers it. You can't do that out here, people are stealing everything that isn't nailed down.
ReplyDeleteI loved every single pic!
ReplyDeleteI DID see the head light!
Great photos! Looks like a mower to me.
ReplyDeleteWhat cool pictures! I love them all!
ReplyDeleteNeat old barn!! My husband loves old farm equipment! (Old memories)...I'll call this post to his attention, I'm sure he'll know what that is..
ReplyDeleteThat's a neat little barn! The old tractor is pulling an old sickle mower. It would have been mostly used for cutting hay. The arm with the cutting part would be lowered by a lever to cut the hay or grass.
ReplyDeletelove the old tractor. (:
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is behind that tractor it looks dangerous!! The barn shot makes it look a bit more like it's set in the woods than on a farm...not as open a space as we're used to seeing with barns. You know me - love the red!
ReplyDeleteThat is a ramshackle barn indeed - but still rather cute.
ReplyDeleteI love your 'cool thingies' that made me smile.
Oooh, you've got my attention this morning with that wonderful old tractor. I love the old rusty ones; they have such character!
ReplyDeletelove all those "thingies" and that headlight!
ReplyDeleteThe old "thingies" sure do add to the charm!
ReplyDeleteRamshackle, yes... Beautiful, YES! LoL!
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining, Debbie =)
Very cool! That tractor looks almost dead-on to the old Allis Chalmers my grandfather used on his farm. I love that old equipment!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the farmer's interest comes and goes here! Glad I read other opinions about the "thingey". Was going to say a seeder of some sort. . .And if you have to plow at night, may as well do it in style!
ReplyDeleteHow I love the Barn pictures. I loved the pictures of the barn and equipment. The old tractor reminds me of my Dad's. I remember riding with him as he worked his fields. Thanks for the memory and hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteLove the ramshackle barn and all the thingy's!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great little barn, and I DO love that tractor!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, love the cute barn and the farm equipment. Lovely captures. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos. I love seeing all the old farm equipment. We have a lot around here, too.
ReplyDeleteSlightly ramshackle, and added on to at least once, but still charming. Nice shot. :-)
