Outside My Window

A Pretty Male Downy Woodpecker

Outside my window, I see a woodpecker singin',

sittin' on a branch,

I wish I knew what he's thinkin'!!

Getting his feathers all fluffed at my presence,

I am not discouraged!!

  3. What beautiful Photo Captures!!!

    "The night was clear and frosty, all ebony of shadow and silver of snowy slope;
    big stars were shining over the silent fields;
    here and there the dark pointed firs stood up
    with snow powdering their branches
    and the wind whistling through them."

    Thank you for liking the new blog look, on my blog. :-)

    If my computer connection holds, I'll email you about making blog look changes. You said you didn't ever want to try to again. -sigh- But I have a way to "practice." ,-)

  13. I enjoyed seeing YOUR woodpecker! We have a pair that live in the elm tree in our back yard. I never fail to be thrilled at the sight of that red patch and the zebra pattern of his feathers!

  18. Nice shots of him, Debbie. You must not have screens on your windows, as I do...they sure hinder photography.

    I love your choice of words.

  20. WOW, is all I can say....these are amazing shots...I need you to teach me how to do that......

    I too wonder what animals are thinking as well as people when I see that stare in one's eyes....Maybe it's because I have such an active imagination I don't know.... I think he's thinking "Do you want to come out here and we'll make some holes together"....

    Have a great day....
