I'm Ready...

For Turkey Day

Meet Tom,
the boys and I made Tom 25 years ago.

The Tree
You've met "The Tree" before!!

Close up of my favorite ornaments.

Pretty glass pumpkins in the candlesticks...
little pilgrims in the corner.

Chuck and I...of the miniature variety!!
I don't know why but that's what I always think when I place these out.

Coffee table
I always open my scrapbook, so it displays one of our past
Thanksgiving Holidays.

Family Room

Another scrapbook...I have oodles of these!!

Kitchen

Entry

Dining Room Table

There's a lot more, but I think you get the idea!!

Place cards, so everyone knows where to sit!!
What??  toooo much??

I always serve chicken, it's moist and juicy
and much easier for me to handle.

We are celebrating on Saturday because Mike has to work on Thanksgiving.
Chuck's birthday is also on Saturday.
He is truly the most wonderful person on the planet!!

I can't wait to have everyone home and all to myself,
for that, I am very grateful!!

  1. Hi Debbie, your home is just lovely with all the Thanksgiving decorations and I love the ornament tree and Tom the turkey. It does look like you are ready. THis is the first time in twenty years we are not having Thanksgiving dinner for the family. My sister is doing dinner this year and I am taking my Derby pie and a Pumpkin roll for dessert. I hope your weekend is great and that you have a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving. Eileen

  3. For show and tell on Friday Brady was supposed to take in an item related to Thanksgiving. I didn't have a single thing in the house, so I had him draw a turkey with his handprint. We should have swung by your house!!! It looks so festive I love it.

  5. Love all the decorations. I do not decorate for Thanksgiving. I choose to skip it since it is not my favorite holiday.
I wanted to know where you bought the tree. I love it. It is perfect to decorate for all occasions?

Have fun with the family. Enjoy your dinner.

  14. It's so very festive and inviting. As I said, I love crafty things as I can't do them myself... You posted in a comment about bird feeders. I have bird feeders and bird baths and count bird for Cornell's Project Feeder Watch and I occasionally feed the ducks on the pond.. but not any more after the death of that duck for which I feel awful....Michelle
