Being Grateful

"I've got my peanut..."

"did you get your shot?!"

"Thanks...I am forever grateful!!"

These pictures were taken right through the glass
at my home office window.
Sometimes I open the window and "hang out".
Here he was so close, he would have flown off.

I've always wondered why they call these "Red-Bellied Woodpeckers"
but if you look closely, he does have a little red on his belly!!
"Red-headed Woodpecker was already taken!!

  29. A brilliant post Debbie... I captured the squirrel climbing my feeders through my windows and sometimes the moment itself outways the quality of the image...your captions put a big smile on my face after a long day at work...many thanks for that xx

  31. It's like the red-belly doesn't want you to work so hard. Backyard birding could be a very bad influence on your productivity. I am waiting to see a true redheaded woodpecker one day. By the way, I'll join the chorus, your new header is crazy good. What a bloom!
