Not Five Minutes From Home......

on our way to dinner last night, I stumbled upon this..........

Great Egret!!!!!
We were almost past the lake when I caught this, just out of the corner of my eye!!
It could have been a duck or swan, all I saw was just a speck of white!!!
We went back anyway (even though I was STARVING) and I prayed it was an Egret!!!!


She was beautiful........so graceful in flight!!!!!


I loved the reflection in this shot!!!!


The biggest, happiest surprise at....... 
Godfrey Lake in Brick,  New Jersey
I pass this lake every single time I leave my house,
You can bet that we will be stopping by here more often!!!!!

    Great pics. What a lovely graceful bird. I also like the reflection shot. Just think if you had missed that white speck you saw you would have missed taking these lovely pictures.

    These are great shots! I especially love the one with the reflection of the bird in the water... it makes me think a little of impressionism meets surrealism... Great job!
