Saturday Critters #655

On a recent visit to Lake of the Lilies...

there were 2 new "aerators " in the lake.
These aerators will mix air with the water and help to improve its health and function.

I found a single Killdeer roaming around,
it was not thrilled with my presence but did not fly off.

I chased it,"well kinda' chased it" all around the lake.

It grew more and more irritated with me...

until it gave me the image of the day...I was so surprised.

There were several baby bunnies...

trying to hide in and eat the weeds.

Sharing today images with Eileen at

Aerators on lakes are important and you got some great photographs.

Lovely to see the birds and bunnies and that last photograph of the killdeer is stunning.
Enjoy your weekend.

All the best Jan

PS In relation to your previous post... as I type this England are playing Panama ... I don't know what the score is but will check later :)

It really showed off for you. What fun you had on the chase! Love the bunnies too, I saw one in the neighborhood this week. Have a wonderful weekend. And thanks again Debbie for being such a special friend this past year. I couldn't have done it without your love and support! Hugs, Diane

That Killdeer certainly gave you a run for your money, but it sounds like the chase was completely worth it for that final shot. The baby bunnies are absolutely precious, too!

Hello Debbie,
It is great the aerators were added to the lake! I love your sweet Killdeer, they are so pretty. I also love the cute bunnies, adorable photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great day and a happy week ahead! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

Your photos are fantastic and the one of the kildeer with his wings up is a winner. Seeing him takes me back to when I was growing up. We had an empty field next to our house and there were always kildeers there protecting their nests.

I assume you weren’t really harassing the bird, only following respectfully! Your photos look beautiful (and the bird looks very calm). We have bunnies all over the neighborhood this month but I haven’t photographed them.

Beautiful photos what a wonderful visit you had and the bunny rabbit adorable but all the Killdeer photos how lucky you are to have spotted them and taken these lovely photos. Their song is a favorite of mine and although they didn't take off when you were there but did, they call out?

they did!!!

That killdeer was worth stalking, Debbie, as it was a great photo subject especially for that last image. We have seen a number of bunnies on the riverwalk in recent days, so tis the season for sure. We have a single fountain aerator on the river. There are supposed to be 2 but the second one only worked a few days.

I would stalk that little all over. Beautiful little thing as are all your other photos. I am hoping that the aerator will have worked its magic on our little pond by the time we go back. Happy day to you Debbie :)

Cool pics of that bird, so neat to get it ready to take off. We have some bunnies in our yard, the babies have been hanging out in our wildflower garden!
