There are so many Red-Winged Blackbirds at Lake of the Lilies, they hangout and enjoy being near water.
They can be difficult to photograph, they are quick,
I try to be quicker.
Hanging out on the reeds seems to be a favorite place to sit and relax.
There are a lot of Mute Swans and Turtles too!
and as I have said before, you will often hear them before you see them.
She has beautiful marking, is shades of brown and tan, with specks of orange by her beak.
I see a lot of these blackbirds but it is so hard to capture the red in the wings. You did great. Love the turtle too. Happy weekend!

The blackbirds are a favourite of the marshes here too. Turtles are always a favourite!

ReplyDeleteThose birds are all around here too, I like when they land on the reeds and they move back and forth on them :). Love the picture of the turtle, I still can't get good pics of that, they all go right in the water.
