it is such a treat...
I don't mind cooking, I actually rather enjoy it but there is something really special about hearing,
"Debbie, dinners ready"
I think most women love the thought of someone preparing a home cooked meal for them.
Hearing the pots and pans clanking, the chefs knife hitting the board and the smells that fill the house.
My darling hubs would take me out to dinner every single day if I would let him,
but I enjoy home cooked meals and we eat out a few times each week.
Now here's a peak at the hubs, in the kitchen.
Here he is putting together his very own recipe, 3 peeled red skinned potatoes, sweet onion, butter & salt.
Lined up and layered in just this way...the foil is sealed on all sides to make "cooking packages".
He cooks them on the grill for around 22 minutes and they come out crisp on the bottom
and soft and wonderfully buttery on top.
These are amazing and he makes them for me several times each summer.
I invented this...he perfected it.
He rubs butter directly on the foil so they don't stick, and places pats of butter between the layers.
We got this delicious white corn on the cob from
Delicious Orchard as well.
The corn comes to them from Florida and it is as good as it gets.
Better than our home grown New Jersey corn.
Hello Debbie,
ReplyDeleteIt all looks delicious! The kabobs, the potatoes and the corn on the cob. YUM! Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend!
He's a keeper! Is that his young adult photo on the shelf? Linda in Kansas

ReplyDeleteDear Debbie!
ReplyDeleteThis food looks so delicious. I love the kebabs and potatoes.
Sending hugs and warm wishes to you and your husband.
I'm sharing this one with Rick -- resident griller. I love grilled potatoes but we rarely do them because they take so long. This is amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove these pics of your hubby in the kitchen! Food looks great too!
ReplyDeleteI do love it when DH cooks... especially his red beans! And I agree that I like to cook too, but it's so nice when someone else steps up.
Beautiful post
ReplyDeletePlease read my post
ReplyDeleteIt all looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
It is great that he cooks for you once in awhile, I really don't care to cook but I do it. Greg always cooks us a nice breakfast every Saturday and helps some with meals at times, he always cooks the meat if it is out on the grill. We usually eat out once a week. I am surprised that Florida corn is better than N.J.
ReplyDeleteOh yum! He is an excellent chef Debbie! I'm with you, I enjoy my going out meals but I love nothing more than to enjoy one at home.
