I do not have too much to share today...
we have been busy, but the camera has spent way too much time on the shelf.
My Azaleas have been covered in bees...
As much as the hubs and I love spring, it is a lot of work.
We have a lot of gardens...they all have to be edged, weeded, treated and mulched.
We have tried so hard to find someone to do this for us,
but there is not enough money in the world to get someone to do it, and do it right.
We have a company that cuts our grass, but everytime we hire them to do this,
they just don't pull all the weeds or prepare the gardens properly.
Within a week, the gardens are once again filled with weeds.
Ugh, that looks like work. I would rather pull fence than lay woodchips. I am sure you guys did a great job!
ReplyDeleteThe azaleas are beautiful. That does look like a lot of work and as the saying goes "if you want something done right you've got to do it yourself". It's a shame though that when you pay someone to do a job they can't do it right.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is a ton of work and you have a huge yard. But it's all so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely gardens. They are a lot of work but so worth it.

Your gardens are beautiful, Debbie, and it does seem that if want something done the “right way” then you have to do it yourself.
ReplyDeleteYour garden is beautiful ... hard work yes, but so much pleasure.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Oh, so beautiful. Lots of hard work!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have someone to mow our yard and mulch when we need it but I hear you on those weeds. It seems they zoom around on those mowers and are out of there lickety-split. They always do a great job but I need someone to just do the weeding full time, maybe come in once every couple of weeks. Haven't found anybody to do that yet. I tried pulling weeds a few days ago and am still paying the price. Someone come knocking on my door! It would be great for a high-schooler to earn extra pocket money. And before I get out of here before saying, your pictures are beautifulf and how wonderful to see the bees out again. I hope your hubby didn't have a sore back after all those bags. He's amazing and you can tell him I said that! :)
ReplyDeleteHello, Debbie
ReplyDeleteYour gardens look beautiful, great captures of the bees on the blooms. It is hard work, your hubby does a great job. Good luck seeing the swan nest, I hope there are babies now. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great day and a happy week ahead! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Hi Debbie, your gardens are beautiful. A beautiful garden is a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie :)
ReplyDeleteYour garden is stunning and so are your wonderful macro images of bees on the flowers. It must have taken many hours of hard work to get your front garden looking so beautiful. Your husband does a great job.
Have a happy week
All the best

Great pics of the bees enjoying the flowers, yes I imagine it is hard to find someone to do good work like that. Greg does the mowing and I do all the weed whipping and hand weeding, it is a lot of work in the summer that is for sure, but when it is nice out I don't mind it, my back can't seem to do as well as it use to though.
