A Walk Around The Yard & A Yummy Breakfast

 As spring moves forward,
everything blooms in it's time. I'll show you what's thriving in my gardens right now.

This is a pink Rhododendron that blooms several times a year.

The white Azaleas bloom right after the colored ones...

while the pink and purple Azaleas are still in bloom.

We have about 8 Viburnum bushes in our backyard...all in a row providing a privacy wall.
They are about 12 feet high and are on full display right now.

We got "real" hungry walking around the yard...off we went to our favorite breakfast joint,
Committed Pig
We love this place and they have the best blueberry pancakes.

They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Breakfast Menu

We split the blueberry pancakes and bacon.

We also split the hashbrowns.

This golden pig greets you in the vestibule.
This restaurant is in the heart of the beautiful beach community of Manasquan, NJ.
If you ever visit, there are some really great restaurants in the area.

  1. That sounds like such a calm and satisfying way to experience spring — a walk around the yard paired with a good breakfast really captures those slow, simple pleasures.

I like how you frame it: everything blooming in its own time. It sets the tone perfectly for a gentle garden update, and it already makes the reader feel like they’re stepping outside with you to see what’s growing and thriving right now.

  2. Your Viburnum remind me of the house my dad lived in. The one side of the yard was lined with these and lilac alternating up the property line. They were huge and probably about 12 feet high.
    Your breakfast looks so good.

  6. Beautiful. Our rhododendron and azalea have finished blooming, so it was great to see the flowers in your photos. The Viburnum are pretty. Love the way you photographed them.

  7. Your yard is amazing, all those blooms and it must smell fantastic. I really like that sign in the restaurant. The chicken was nice to donate but the pig gave his life for the cause :)

  14. Wow your stuff is blooming quicker than ours is, I think we need to move where ours is located but it seems to be doing better than where it was before. I haven't had some good pancakes in a long time.
