Last Thursday the sun was out, the sky was blue, it was 75 degrees outside with a light beautiful breeze.
It was the perfect day for a picnic.
After getting sandwiches at Panera Bread we headed to
to enjoy our sandwiches and the weather at a picnic table with a view of the reservoir.
Bacon Turkey Bravo
- Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Gouda Cheese, a Signature Sauce on Tomato Basil Bread -
This sandwich is so good.We stayed for several hours after we finished lunch.
I brought my coloring book and colored pencils and colored for some of the time.
I really needed this and was so happy to have spent the time outdoors.
I purchased a red and white checked tablecloth from Amazon for our next picnic.
It already came.
Here are a few pictures of the reservoir...
Looks like a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to spend an afternoon. I should take a cue from you and do more of this this summer.

Blogger friend Marie (Island Musings) and her husband, Rick, are avid picnic folks and when we visited them in Prince Edward Island we went on one with them. You reminded me that we need to do here and looks like you had a great day for yours.
ReplyDeleteY’all make great sandwiches! Happy Picnicing 🥳

I love this post, Debbie! You both know how to enjoy life...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful -- and that's the way to have a picnic. Lovely place, leisurely time in perfect weather and (perhaps most important) a stop for the yummy sandwiches. Much better than exhausting yourself fixing it firsit. And much better for last-minute decisions.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great way to spend a day!
ReplyDeleteStopped by from Furry Gnome's blog, and really enjoyed seeing your picnic. We need to do that! And that sandwich, wow.
