This past weekend was special.
Blessed with blue skies, sunshine and warm temperatures,
the only thing missing was a was a jaunt in the car...destination unknown.
We stopped at the usual places...
We stopped at Lake of the Lilies where I only saw two Female Mergansers, no Males...
and a lot of Mallards.
The Mallards were mating, a ritual that is difficult to watch.
About half the lake is thawed now and it is nice to see the ducks, and photographers returning.
Down at the inlet, we watched the Northern K come in.
it's still cold here for boating standards, but the commercial fishing boats are always in and out.
It was so good to be out of the house, to roll down the car window and breathe in the fresh "ocean" air.
I need to appreciate that more.
The frosty winter has let up. Spring is still creeping in. Dear Debbie, your winter walk was very pleasant. Your photos are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely, beautiful March.

ReplyDeleteThat’s wonderful Debbie, great photos. It snowed here again today but I don’t think it is going to last this tome as our temperatures are slowly rising. Getting a bit off track here but I am very interested in your zinger. Could you tell me a bit about it, the make, model and style? Thanks in advance, I am hoping to get out a bit more this summer.
ReplyDeletei sent you an email...if you have any other questions, email me. i love mine and it has really changed my ability to enjoy life!! i don't use it all the time, i keep it in the car and use it primarily outdoors!!
DeleteThanks for taking us along on the ride. I don't see barges with clams on them in the Missouri River! Linda
ReplyDeleteHello Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI am glad you were able to get out and enjoy the day.
The sky looks perfect for an outing and your photos are beautiful.
Love the beach and surfer, the ducks and the fishing boat.
Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
It’s beautiful. I’m glad you got to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you were able to get out, was a bit surprised all that snow was gone, but time does fly by for me anymore. I can't believe someone was out in that water. We haven't been out in months to take pictures, maybe once it starts to warm up and green up, Greg will want to get out again.
