Here at the Jersey Shore, fireworks are a big deal, a really big deal
and not just on holidays.
Every Thursday night, Point Pleasant Boardwalk lights up the sky with a very impressive display!
We went on Thursday, we usually watch from the parking lot because the boardwalk is so crouded,
but we decided to take our life in our hands, go up on the boardwalk and watch from there.
We found a great spot and wow, what a show.
What a beautiful night. Its a lovely show.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!

Really pretty! We watched some lake fireworks while our boat was near the barge that was sending them up in the air. Our boat was scattered with paper, ash and debris from the exploded fireworks. Not a good idea to get that close. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeletei have never had that happen and on this night we were definitely not close enough for that but i wonder if the air born ash would pollute the ocean?!
DeletePerfect pictures!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful fireworks display, your photos are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great day and happy week ahead.
Fun and yummy!
ReplyDeleteOh Wow! Gorgeous photos. I love fireworks. Ice cream afterwards sounds absolutely perfect.

Fantastic photos, every one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and evocative title! "Lighting Up The Skies..." immediately brings to mind celebrations, hope, and wonder. Your post was a delightful read — whether you were speaking metaphorically or literally, it truly captured the essence of illumination and inspiration. Looking forward to more such uplifting pieces from you!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing quite like a summer fireworks display, Debbie, and these photos really showed the beauty of them. As NJ natives, we also know about the summertime crowds in Point Pleasant.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics! Don't like the noise...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful fireworks display, your photographs captured it so well.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Amazing photography Debbie! They certainly put on a great fireworks display judging by these.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you enjoyed a great spot for watching the fireworks, and who doesn't like to top off the day with ice cream!
ReplyDeleteI love ❤️ the colours and photos, hate the noise. Wonderful shots.
ReplyDeleteDear Debbie,
ReplyDeleteyour photos truly capture the magic of the fireworks – such brilliant colors lighting up the night sky! 🎆✨🍦 I can feel your joy and excitement, and it’s lovely that you had such a memorable evening.
Still, as a fellow nature lover (especially birds 🐦), I sometimes wonder how our celebrations affect the environment. In my country, fireworks are mainly used on special holidays – and even then, there's growing awareness about their impact on birds, wildlife, and air quality (especially fine dust).
Maybe one day we’ll find quieter and more nature-friendly ways to celebrate that are just as beautiful. Until then, I can understand both the awe and the concern.
Warm greetings from Austria,
Traude 🌿

ReplyDeleteHello Debbie :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't think anything could top that shiny red Ford truck but the fireworks lighting up the nights sky did. Wonderful photography and images.
