One of my favorite things to do is go for a zip around the reservoir.
Only a few minutes from home, it is an awesome walking path, no bikes are allowed.
The Iris were still in bloom, they were beautiful, still in their prime.
It was later in the day, a cool crisp evening and the sun was on the move.
The township does a wonderful job maintaining the property, keeping it trash free and full of flowers.
These are Spanish Bluebells.
Afterwards, we stopped at Ritas for an ice.
The perfect way to end the day and watch this gorgeous sunset.
Yes but ours is hiking trails so not as groomed as these.

So pretty.
ReplyDeleteWow! Pretty. Interesting such a spanse forbids bikes. What is the building in the middle of the lake? A boat house? Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeletethis is a reservoir. it is an intake structure for when water needs to be distributed, it has always been there!!! before this was a reservoir, it was a gravel pit!
DeleteYes we have a few walking trails at city parks that are very nice to visit for a walk. I haven't been in sometime, I have been going through some troubles lately but hopefully will be walking good again :) The sunset is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I really enjoy the walking paths in Spearfish in the spring when it is too muddy to walk around the cabin. Your photos are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteYou always know how to take great photos Debbie. What a gorgeous area for a walk. Love the iris and bluebells also.
ReplyDeleteLove the reservoir photos, the Irises are lovely. The Spanish Bluebell look pretty, I have never heard of them. I love your sky images, beautiful sunset. Take care, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteYou see flowers and scenery; I see fishing opportunities! I wonder what kind of fish the reservoir has in it.
ReplyDeleteWe do have a large park called Mine Falls park close to the mill apartments; however, it is a wooded area and with recent rains that brings insects and muddy walking areas. The pocket park next door to the apartments will not be completed until later this year too late for warm weather enjoyment 😟. yes, we do enjoy walking and expect to be doing a lot of our tours this fall -- to Alaska and then Portugal, but not on the same trip 😏
ReplyDeleteI love walks. They always give me the drive. Dear Debbie, I love irises, I like the time when they bloom. Your photos are as always beautiful and perfectly done. I wish you a wonderful and above all warm weekend. Unfortunately. I send greetings from cold and distant Poland.
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
